Description: Intelligent, short coupled, good looking colt out of a young Stravinsky mare who is in turn out of Sadler’s Wells mare Perfect Evening (IRE) 2000. Perfect Evening is a daughter of Ivy who is by Sir Ivor. The strong blood running through this dam line is not often seen in NZ. El Roca has made a very strong start to his stud career with his oldest crop in their 2yo year. El Roca was not raced as a 2yo himself but it comes as no surprise that he is the sire of 2 individual 2yo winners and has 2 stakes-placed 2yos including the Group 1 placed Bella Mente. This good walking colt was pinhooked from the May 2018 Weanling Sale specifically for the purpose of the 2019 South Island Sale and Pear Tree Farm have been very impressed with how he has grown and developed and they have discovered that he has an excellent work ethic and enjoys the opportunity to be active.
