‘Knowing‘ winning his fourth start on 10th June at Waverley ridden by Opie Bosson. This lovely horse was bred, foaled, raised, broken in and first ridden work done at Pear Tree Farm. He has been leased to a syndicate and is trained by Rosie Gibbs. This day the track was heavy and ‘Knowing’ won by four lengths going away from the field in with the fastest 1400m time of the day. We are looking forward to his next start as he is shaping up to be a nice horse to follow. Thanks to Race Images for the use of the photo.
Here at Pear Tree Farm, we are well into our South Island Sales preparation. We have a lovely draft including youngsters by the following sires; ‘Keeper‘, ‘Don Eduardo‘, ‘Tavistock‘ and ‘Road To Rock‘. We are looking forward to what will be the last time that these sales will be held in the current format. Next year the sale is to be re-structured and will become part of the NZ Yearling Sale Series. The sale will be known as the South Island Session and is to be held in April. The horses going through that sale will be Karaka Million elligible. We look forward to sending a very nice draft of horses to that sale including horses by ‘Captain Rio‘, ‘Iffraaj‘ and ‘Any Suggestion‘.
