We have been relaxing a bit since the South Island Sale, just enjoying not being too busy before the foaling season starts. We had our first foal on Monday – a colt by Minstrel Court.
The grass is growing and the horses are enjoying the warmer days and extra green grass. This photo was taken this morning. These fillies are by Keeper (who will be aimed for the 2013 SI Sale), Minstrel Court and D’Cash – both these fillies will be retained by their owners to race.
We are looking forward to the SI Bonus Race in November as Strawberry Blonde (Brilliance – What’s Up Pussy Cat) will hopefully take her place in the line up. Pear Tree Farm sold this filly at the 2011 SI Sale as agent for Mrs Onawe Miller. We wish the connections of this lovely filly all the very best of luck for the race and her future.
