Fabulous sale result for homebred filly

posted in: News | 0

We were over the moon to sell our lovely filly by Proisir out of Joan’s Girl to Te Akau Racing for $41,000 at the recent South Island Yearling Sale. The filly was a real eye catcher with her deep chestnut coat and blonde mane and tail combined with natural strength and a purposeful walk. She was hugely popular throughout the yearling preparation with all who saw her. We wish Te Akau all the very best with her and we will be closely following her racing career. The sale was a very tough one this year and we were delighted to have three horses in the top ten prices. Pear Tree Farm also finished the sale second on the leading vendors table on average price.

We now are in the swing of weaning with three babies in the boxes at the moment and plenty of client bookings for more babies to start their education with us. Michael and I both really enjoy the early education of horses and take weaning very seriously. We have developed a process that ensures confident, well-handled youngsters that are really to go out into the world and thrive.
