The 2012 South Island Sale was a very difficult market to sell horses in on Friday. Pear Tree Farm did manage to sell all but one of the colts that were entered.
Our top price was $22,000 for the Faltaat – Kiss It Better colt who was purchased by NZB.
The Keeper – Lady Kaapusine colt is headed to Australia after Gerald Egan paid $12,000 to secure him.
John Bell of Cambridge took home the lovely Chinese Dragon – Twizzle colt for $5,000 and Kelvin Tyler of Southland paid $4,500 for the athletic Minstrel Court – Promiscuous colt.
We were absolutely delighted to sell the D’Cash – What a Feeling to local trainer Graham Dobbs. Although the colt only realised $2,000, we are happy to see him back in the district and can’t wait to see him on the racetrack.
We think that all these horses were exceptional value for the new owners and we really do wish them all the very best with these colts and hope that one of them will win the NZB Bonus Race next November at Riccarton.
